An architectural and landscape design guideline has been developed to ensure the highest standards of planning, design and construction in keeping with the natural landscape. All architectural plans will require the approval of the Parkhill Farm Design Committee.
 
Purchasers will have ready access to the Design Committee and its consulting experts throughout the process to ensure that their dream home can be accommodated within this guideline.
 
House and Land Package Options Available Now

Parkhill Farm are now offering house and land packages, having teamed up with Landmark Homes, a well known and respected national residential building company.
 
Dan and Maria Miller are the Hawke's Bay Landmark franchisees and house builders. They bring a wealth of experience in the building industry and administration to their business, and are passionate about expanding Landmark with beautiful homes throughout Hawke's Bay.
 
Landmark have already commenced construction on two homes for owners at Parkhill Farm, with one nearing completion. They offer several options. Choose from their extensive collection of ready-to-build plans, make use of their design and build service, or work with them to construct your home from your own architect's plans.

As part of the comprehensive planning process for developing Parkhill Farm as a unique lifestyle destination, the owners have worked with some of New Zealand’s leading architects to develop concept drawings for selected house sites that capture the character of Parkhill, sitting within the landscape rather than upon it.

Pete has an extensive background in architectural and interior design, having run architectural practices for the last 21 years.

He has received a number of awards for his work, including 27 NZ Institute of Architecture Regional and National Awards, and two Carter Holt Harvey Environmental Design Awards.

He has been a keynote speaker at a number of Architectural and Architectural Historian Conferences, including the delivery of the 1990 Alcan Lecture on Architecture in Vancouver Canada, and as Keynote Speaker/Exhibitor at the recent Pacific Rim Architects Conference Tokyo in November 2000.
 
Steve McGavock - B/Arch (Hons)

Steve has lives locally at Te Awanga and has worked with the owners on several projects over the past 12 years. He understands the site intimately and was closely involved with individual site preparation during the earthworks stage of development.
 
Steve has accepted appointment to the Design committee that oversees building and planting covenants.
 
He has received a number of NZ Institute of Architecture Regional Awards for his work.

Patrick Corfe
The main emphasis of Patrick’s work is developing large country estates and lifestyle properties, seamlessly integrating farm and gardens with their settings. Patrick creates places that offer spaciousness and intimacy, exhibiting a generosity of spirit and unpretentious atmosphere. Simplicity is the key to his compositions.

Patrick has a special affinity for country and coastal sites, which has been the focus of much of his work since qualifying as landscape architect in 1978. Patrick is an associate of NZILA and is known for his bold romantic style, his ability to integrate client needs with land management and regional character. Patrick was born in Africa, raised in Norway, trained and worked in London for 10 years and now lives in New Zealand on a farm north of Auckland. He has travelled extensively and this has given him a a unique perspective on larger projects.
